What life here actually looks like.
No surprises. Here is the rhythm of the house, what we expect, and what you can expect from us in return.
Predictable on purpose.
Mornings
Up and moving at a reasonable hour. A shared, clean kitchen. Time for a meeting, work, a program, or whatever your plan calls for.
Daytime
Out doing the work of a life: a job, school, treatment, service, appointments. The house is calm and yours to come back to.
Evenings
Dinner, chores, and downtime. Quiet hours so everyone can rest. Optional house check-ins when they are on the calendar.
The agreements that keep the house safe.
Not here to trip you up. The floor everyone stands on, so the home stays a place worth living in.
- Stay completely drug- and alcohol-free, and agree to periodic testing
- Keep curfew and respect quiet hours
- Carry your share of chores and keep common spaces clean
- Stay active in your recovery, whatever that looks like for you
- Pay your house fees on time
- Treat housemates, staff, and neighbors with respect
- Follow the guest and overnight policy
- Communicate honestly, especially when things get hard
The house holds up its end.
Accountability runs both ways. Here is what the home owes you.
- A clean, safe, well-kept place to live
- Clear rules applied fairly and consistently
- Privacy and respect for your story
- A fair process if a concern or grievance comes up
- Staff who lead with calm and respect, not shame
- Honest answers and straight talk about how things work
Plenty of wells to drink from.
Living here connects you to the wider recovery community: local meetings, programs, service opportunities, and people who have walked it. We will help you find what fits. We will never pretend the house is the whole answer.
Good things to ask.
Is this a treatment center?
No. Grounded Path is recovery housing, not clinical treatment. We provide a structured, sober place to live. Many residents are also in a treatment program, seeing a counselor, or working a fellowship. We help you stay connected to those supports.
How long can I stay?
There is no fixed clock. People stay as long as the structure is serving their recovery and they are holding up the house agreements. We talk about timing together, honestly.
Do you drug and alcohol test?
Yes. Periodic testing is part of keeping the home safe for everyone. It is a standard part of recovery housing, and you agree to it when you move in.
Can I work or go to school while I live here?
Absolutely. We encourage it. A job, school, or steady purpose is part of building a life. The house rhythm is designed to support that, not get in its way.
What happens if someone relapses?
We handle it as human beings, with the safety of the household first. A relapse is taken seriously and it is not treated as a moral failure. We will be honest with you about what comes next and what your options are.
How much does it cost?
House fees depend on the home and your situation. We go over the specifics during your intake conversation. If you are working with a program or case manager, bring them into the conversation and we will coordinate.
Sound like the kind of place you are looking for?
Take the first step. We will meet you there.
